All-Electric XC40 Reportedly On Its Way
The first all-electric Volvo XC40 will apparently debut this year.
Automotive News reported yesterday—and we don’t think this was an April Fool’s Day joke—that Volvo will introduce the electric version of the XC40 before the end of this year.
The company has previously stated that it wants all-electric cars to account for half its global sales by 2025.
Debate among yourselves whether this will be Volvo’s first full-electric car of any kind. The all-electric Polestar 2 was revealed at the Geneva auto show in March. Polestar is part of Volvo, but the all-electric brand goes to market under its own name.
